The Kohler Elmbrook K-33201 is a “Complete Solution” two-piece elongated toilet. The box includes the seat, wax ring and mounting hardware, so most installs need only a supply line. It is chair height (Comfort Height), uses 1.28 gallons per flush, fits a 12-inch rough-in and is WaterSense labeled. Kohler sells other Elmbrook packages, such as K-45983. Keep these specs tied to K-33201.
K-33201 specifications
From Kohler’s current specification sheet:
| Item | K-33201 |
|---|---|
| Configuration | Two-piece, elongated, Comfort Height |
| Flush | 1.28 gpf, AquaPiston canister with Revolution 360 |
| Rough-in | 12 inches |
| Rim height | 16-5/8 inches |
| Front projection | 29-1/2 inches from the finished wall |
| Trapway | 2-1/8-inch, fully glazed, exposed |
| Lever | Left-hand, polished chrome |
| Installation | Three-bolt quick-connect |
| Included | Bowl, tank, Quiet-Close elongated seat, wax ring and hardware. Supply line sold separately |
Because the seat and hardware are in the box, K-33201’s price compares directly with a bare toilet plus a seat and wax ring, not with a bare toilet alone.
Measure before you buy
- Rough-in: measure from the finished wall, not the baseboard, to the closet-bolt centers. K-33201 needs 12 inches.
- Projection: 29-1/2 inches is on the long side for a two-piece toilet. Check the door swing and the vanity edge.
- Supply valve: compare your shutoff’s position with the sheet’s drawing before you remove the old toilet.
- Back-to-back drains: Kohler requires a 45-degree double wye fitting, not a double sanitary tee.
Installation and parts
Check the flange and subfloor when the old toilet is off. A rocking bowl or a damaged flange needs repair before any new toilet will seal. Tighten the porcelain carefully and leak-test each connection. For later repairs, keep the combination, tank and bowl numbers and use Kohler’s K-33201 parts lookup.
