Research scope: This review uses DeWalt’s current DWX723 page, stand comparison and manual. We did not load-test the stand or verify fit with every saw.
What the DWX723 includes
The DWX723 is DeWalt’s long-beam aluminum miter-saw stand. DeWalt lists 29-pound stand weight, a 5.5-foot beam and extensions intended to support material up to 16 feet. The package includes two mounting brackets and two convertible work support/stops; the saw is separate.
DeWalt describes the bracket design as universal across saw brands, but “universal” still requires a mounting check. Compare the saw base’s hole spacing, footprint and controls with the bracket manual. Large sliding saws can change the center of gravity when the head travels.
DWX723 versus the other DeWalt stands
DWX723 prioritizes long stock support and a relatively light carry. DWX724 is the compact beam choice for tighter storage. DWX726 adds a rolling frame for users who want to leave a saw mounted and move the assembly on wheels. DWX723 has folding legs but no integrated wheels, so the saw normally comes off before comfortable transport.
The published 500-pound material capacity is a stand rating under manufacturer conditions, not a reason to balance unstable stock or exceed the saw’s limits. Support long pieces so they stay level with the saw table and cannot tip or lift as the offcut separates.
Setup and cut accuracy
Place all feet on a firm, level surface, lock the legs and extensions, then secure the mounting brackets. Adjust each work support to the saw-table height. A stop is useful for repeated lengths only after the first cut is measured and the work can sit flat without binding.
Do not let a helper substitute for a proper support. Disconnect the saw before moving, mounting or adjusting it and follow the saw manual for clamping and hand position.
Verdict and buying route
DWX723 suits a user who cuts long trim or framing stock and can carry the saw separately. Choose DWX724 for compact storage or DWX726 when wheeled movement with the saw attached is worth the extra bulk.
Check the DWX723 page and DeWalt’s current stand list , then verify bracket fit with the exact saw.
