It’s a reasonable mainstream pick if you want a pull-down sprayer, your sink has one or three holes, and there’s room under the sink for the hose to travel. The finish suffix is part of the model number. 87233SRS is the stainless version. Record the full SKU for future cartridge, hose or spray-head orders.
Fit checks
- Holes: a one-hole sink or counter takes the faucet alone. A three-hole sink needs the included deck plate to cover the outer holes. A sink with four holes, or a separate sprayer hole you want to keep, needs a different plan.
- Overhead clearance: at 14.6 inches tall, check for a low window sill, shelf or cabinet above the sink.
- Splash: a 7.55-inch reach over a shallow basin can splash more than a lower spout. Compare the spout’s position with your drain and the sink depth.
- Under the sink: the pull-down hose and its weight need a clear path. A garbage disposal, a water filter, shutoff valves or stored bottles can block it.
- Supply lines: the faucet connects at 3/8 inch. Check your shutoff valve outlets and buy the right supply lines or adapters before you remove the old faucet.
Installation and care
Flush the supply lines as Moen’s instructions direct so debris doesn’t lodge in the aerator. Hold the faucet steady while you tighten it from below, and don’t twist the hoses. Afterward, run both spray modes, swing the spout through its full range and check every connection with the cabinet dry. Spot Resist is meant to show fewer fingerprints and water spots, but it still needs cleaning. Use Moen’s care directions and avoid abrasives.
