The Speed Queen TC5003WN (TC5) is a 3.2-cubic-foot agitator top-loader with simple controls and no lid lock. It carries a 5-year parts-and-labor warranty. It suits buyers who want a traditional agitator wash and few electronics. It’s a poor fit if you need a large drum, delay start or a remaining-time display, and fill hoses are not included.

This review is based on Speed Queen’s product page. Nobody tested the washer for this page, and no comparative reliability data is available.

What the TC5 is, and isn’t

The TC5 uses Speed Queen’s Classic Clean agitator wash. Other Speed Queen washers, including the TR series and the front-loaders, use different wash systems and controls, so this page doesn’t describe them. With only six presets, check that the cycles cover your household’s laundry. The page lists no delay start or time-remaining display.

The 3.2-cubic-foot tub is small next to many current top-loaders, so bulky bedding is the first thing to check.

Check the space and the hookup

  • With the lid open the washer stands 53 inches tall. Measure any shelf or cabinet above it.
  • Allow for the delivery route, the hose and drain connections, and clearances from the installation instructions, not just the 25-5/8-inch cabinet width.
  • Fill hoses aren’t in the box. Ask the dealer to itemize hoses, delivery, installation and removal of your old washer.

Warranty and reliability

The 5-year parts-and-labor warranty is a contract term, not a measured lifespan. Read the written terms and find out who services Speed Queen locally before you buy. This page can’t confirm claims of decades of trouble-free use.

Verdict

The TC5 belongs on your shortlist if you want a simple agitator top-loader with a longer warranty than most, and 3.2 cubic feet is enough. Choose another washer if you need more capacity, stacking or more cycle options.
