The Gladiator GAWC042PZY package contains two four-foot GearTrack channels. Hooks and tool-specific holders are separate purchases, so the channel is a starting rail rather than a complete power-tool rack.
This assessment uses Gladiator’s model listing and wall-system documentation. It does not claim a hands-on load test.
Lay out the tools before drilling
Mark two 48-inch channel runs on the wall and place outlines of the intended tools, chargers and cases around them. Leave enough vertical space to lift each item off its hook and enough side clearance that handles do not block a door, bench or walkway.
Choose only Gladiator accessories documented for GearTrack. The GAWUXXTHRH Tool Hook is one compatible option, but its shape will not securely hold every drill or battery tool. Heavy or unusually shaped tools may need a shelf or platform-specific holder instead.
Attach the channel to suitable structure
Follow the current GAWC042PZY installation instructions for the actual wall construction and required fasteners. Locate framing or install an adequate backer where directed. A drywall anchor chosen only by a headline rating is not a substitute for the channel maker’s mounting pattern.
Published system capacity assumes correct installation and distributed loading. Keep dense items low, avoid creating large cantilever loads, and inspect the channel and hooks after rearranging the wall.
Keep charging separate from hanging storage
Mount chargers only if their manufacturers permit that orientation and ventilation. Route cords away from sharp hooks and tool-removal paths. Store and charge batteries within their specified temperature range; a hot garage wall may be unsuitable even when the rail itself fits.
Buying decision
Choose GAWC042PZY when two four-foot channels fit the measured wall and compatible hooks exist for the actual tools. Choose a shelf or exact-platform mount when the tool cannot hang securely from a GearTrack accessory.
The Amazon button searches the exact channel model. Confirm GAWC042PZY and budget separately for compatible hooks and installation hardware.
