The Honey-Can-Do BTH-05079 is a three-tier freestanding shelf designed to straddle a toilet. It only fits when its published width, depth and tank-clearance dimensions work with the actual toilet, valves, trim and wall.
This is a dimension and installation review based on Honey-Can-Do’s product page. It does not claim a hands-on stability or corrosion test.
Measure the complete use envelope
Measure the floor width behind and beside the toilet, including baseboard projection. Compare tank height and width with the opening in the assembled frame. Raise the seat and tank lid, reach the flush control, and make sure the supply shutoff remains immediately accessible.
Mark the shelf depth on the wall and check head and shoulder clearance for a seated and standing user. Also check window trim, outlets, towel bars and exhaust grilles. A shelf that technically surrounds the toilet can still interfere with service or daily movement.
Plan wall restraint before assembly
Follow the current assembly sequence and use the supplied anti-tip method or other manufacturer-approved restraint. Identify wall construction and hidden utilities before drilling. Renters should obtain required permission rather than omitting restraint.
Level the frame on a sound floor. Do not shim it with loose objects or rely on the toilet tank for support. Recheck fasteners after the unit is loaded and stop using it if it rocks or pulls away from the wall.
Load and clean it appropriately
Keep heavy, breakable and spill-prone items off the upper shelves. Do not store chemicals where children can reach them or where a leak could contaminate toiletries. Preserve access to the tank lid because fill and flush components require service.
Buying decision
Choose BTH-05079 when its exact dimensions clear the toilet and the wall can accept proper restraint. Use a wall cabinet designed for the wall structure or a floor organizer elsewhere when the frame would block plumbing access.
