Extra Power lengthens the cycle and raises heat and tumbling. It doesn’t change the electrical supply. Moisture sensing ends the cycle when the clothes read dry, but a mixed load of towels and shirts still dries unevenly. Sort heavy and light fabrics.
The ten-year coverage applies to the drive motor and drum. It is not full-machine parts-and-labor coverage. Read the written warranty and confirm local service.
Installation decides performance
Power cord. Many electric dryers ship without a cord, because homes use different receptacles. Confirm which cord your outlet needs and whether the installer brings it. The installation guide specifies the circuit, outlet and strain relief.
Venting. Measure the full vent run, counting each elbow, against the limits in the installation guide. Use the rigid or semi-rigid metal duct the guide allows. Crushed flex duct and long, lint-packed runs slow drying and raise fire risk. If you’re replacing a dryer because it dried slowly, clean and inspect the whole vent first. The vent may have been the problem.
Clearance. The 28-1/4-inch depth doesn’t include the vent elbow and cord behind the dryer. Allow room for both, plus the door swing.
Upkeep
Clean the lint screen before every load. Inspect and clean the duct on a schedule that fits how much you use it. Stop using the dryer and investigate if you smell scorching, the breaker trips or cycle times keep getting longer.
