The Ryobi PBLCS302B is an 18V ONE+ HP brushless circular saw using a seven-and-a-quarter-inch blade. It offers a specific cutting envelope that should be compared with the material, support and guide arrangement for your project.

This assessment uses the manufacturer specification rather than a hands-on cutting trial. We do not have evidence that it is quieter, more durable or faster than every corded alternative.

Capacity of this model

Ryobi’s PBLCS302B page lists a maximum depth of 2-9/16 inches at zero degrees and 1-27/32 inches at 45 degrees. Bevel adjustment runs from zero to 56 degrees. The included dust adapter accepts the stated 1-1/4- to 1-7/8-inch hose sizes.

The full right-angle cutting depth is not available at a bevel. Check the actual cut angle and thickness before choosing the saw. A suitable guide and well-supported workpiece also matter more for a straight edge than the word “brushless.”

Do not copy specifications or package contents from the older PBLCS300 kit. The exact model code resolves which saw and battery package you are comparing.

Battery and blade decisions

The B listing is a bare tool; add an approved ONE+ battery and charger if you do not own them. Compare complete kit offers on the same basis. Manufacturer cuts-per-charge claims depend on the test battery, stock and cutting conditions, so they are not a guarantee for thick, wet or different material.

Select an approved blade size, arbor and application. A general wood blade is not permission to cut masonry or metal. Remove the battery before blade changes and setup adjustments as instructed.

Safe control matters

Read the manual’s support and kickback precautions. Clamp or otherwise secure the work properly, keep the guard operating freely and arrange the cut so it does not pinch the blade. A dust port does not by itself establish hazardous-dust compliance.

If most cuts happen at one bench with available power, compare a corded saw’s complete setup and reach. If cuts move around the property, cordless operation may justify battery management. Neither choice can be decided from how tidy the charger looks on a shelf.

Verdict

Shortlist the PBLCS302B when its cut capacity fits and the complete battery setup makes sense. Choose the saw around the cut and control requirements first; there is no universal storage-based rule making cordless better for homeowners.
